What is JustACE?

In collaboration with Brain Injury Association of Tasmania, this program aims to support people to reduce the risk of offending, improve their ability to engage in legal processes and build long term networks of connection and support.

How does this JustACE help?

JustACE is a free program that can support you to:

  • understand your rights and needs
  • prepare for court, comply with justice service requirements or reintegrate into the community
  • build skills to live a meaningful and safe life
  • build support networks
  • connect with other services.

How do I access this service?

You can access JustACE support across Tasmania. To be eligible for support, you must be experiencing cognitive impairment including but not strictly limited to:

  • Intellectual Disability
  • Acquired Brain Injury (including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Neurological Disorders.

And be:

  • Currently navigating Tasmania’s criminal justice system
  • 18 years or older

The JustACE Program is voluntary, free from coercion or persuasion.
