Message from the Chair and Chief Executive

We are very excited to present our new Strategic Plan. It is the result of extensive consultation with staff, participants, families, carers, and key stakeholders.

Guided by our Vision and Purpose, the plan sets out Our 4 Goals that position Wellways as a values-led organisation, delivering services and shaping a mental health and disability system that makes a real and positive difference to people’s lives. The Strategic Plan supports innovation and growth and demonstrates that Wellways is ready to contribute to and lead service transformation.

Stepping up our commitment to lived experience leadership is at the heart of our strategy. We are excited that early in the life of the Strategic Plan, we will establish our inaugural Lived and Living Experience Authority at a Governance level. This new body will work with the Wellways Board to ensure that we are placing lived experience at the centre of all we do.

Our organisation is built on people – people who demonstrate our values every day, in every interaction they have, with each other and the people who engage with us for support. This plan demonstrates investment and commitment to building a strong and diverse workforce, where people stay and build their career for the benefit of all.

Our 4 Goals will only be realised by each and every team member working together in the spirit of shared learning, partnership, and unified direction.
