About Community Living Support (CLS)
CLS is a recovery-focused mental health service that supports people living with severe mental health challenges to live independently, take charge of their mental health, and work towards personal goals.
By tailoring support to individual needs, we support participants build meaningful and fulfilling lives within their communities.
What to expect
When you join CLS, you’ll work with a team to create a plan that’s right for you. Together, we’ll help you:
- Manage your mental health and wellbeing.
- Learn or strengthen daily living skills like cooking, cleaning, and using public transport.
- Find and maintain housing.
- Access education, training, or employment opportunities.
- Build social connections and take part in community activities.
- Connect with healthcare providers and other support services, including the NDIS.
Support is flexible and can take place in your home or in the community.
Accessing Community Living Support (CLS)
To access CLS you must:
- Be aged 16 years or older.
- Have a mental health diagnosis that impacts your day-to-day life.
- Live in an area of NSW where CLS is available.
You can refer yourself, or a clinician or support service can refer you with your consent.
