About Vocational Coaching

If you’re thinking about work, study or doing something to reconnect with the community through volunteering, the Vocational Pathways Program offers a supportive place to discover your options.

A dedicated Vocational Navigator will walk alongside you, using a coaching approach to explore possibilities that fit your life. Together, you can explore your strengths, interests, experiences and ideas in a way that feels manageable and right for you.

The Vocational Pathways Program offers a mix of guided and individual sessions to explore your options and build practical skills for work, study and community connection.

Supported vocational programs

Each program is delivered together with a Vocational Navigator where carers explore their skills, interests, aspirations, cultural identity, and unique carer commitments.

Four guided sessions to explore your strengths, and readiness. These sessions give you the space to look at:

  • Your skills and interests
  • Pathways and options
  • Confidence and readiness
  • What support might help
  • Possibilities that feel acheivable

Four practical sessions focused on preparing for work in a supportive and approachable way. Together, you’ll work through:

  • Identifying your strengths and transferable skills
  • Shaping your resume and cover letter
  • Preparing for interviews and job conversations
  • Navigating technology used in job search
  • Understanding workplace expectations and next steps

Individual vocational programs

Short, focused sessions tailored to what you need right now. Options include:

  • Effective resume writing
  • Interview techniques
  • Presentation tips
  • Managing transitions
  • Getting the balance right
  • Financial supports and benefits
  • Professional social connections
