Returning to work or looking to enter the workforce can provide carers with enormous purpose, self-confidence and financial independence. This brand new support program designed for carers and delivered by our Vocational Navigator team supports carers to build confidence in applying for and successfully obtaining employment, volunteering work or study.

Supported vocational programs

This program comprises of four 2 hour sessions that will provide carers with information and tools to start to explore whether returning to the workforce, or entering it for the first time, is right for you. Each of the sessions includes information and activities that will help carers to build confidence and make an informed decision about planning to enter paid employment. Each participant will have access to a Vocational Navigator who will provide them with support throughout the program.

  • Session One: Understanding Your Unique Strengths as a Carer
  • Session Two: Exploring Career Options and Pathways
  • Session Three: Overcoming Barriers and Building Confidence
  • Session Four: Taking the Next Steps: Action Planning and Ongoing Support
