What is Prevention and Early Intervention Community Education?

We want to increase awareness of mental health and wellbeing across Tasmania. Wellways employees and people with a lived experience of mental health issues and recovery provide mental health awareness sessions to community groups across Tasmania. We will work with any service provider or broader community group that would like to improve the awareness and understanding of mental health.

How does this service help?

• To build an understanding of lived experience, recovery and the impacts of stigma for people experiencing mental health challenges.
• To foster greater inclusiveness and decrease stigmatisation of people in the community.
• Provides both face-to-face and online education packages that can be tailored as required to best meet needs.
