About PARC2Home

The PARC2Home program offers ongoing support with a peer worker with lived experience who helps participants continue working on the skills they developed during a PARC stay. This may include reconnecting with existing supports and building links in their community.

What to expect

PARC2HOME was developed by peer workers with a lived experience of mental health challenges, together with Wellways and Area Mental Health Services

  • A dedicated peer worker to support you when you leave a PARC site
  • Flexibility to make PARC2HOME suit your needs and preferences – including determining support sessions and duration
  • Option to connect with your peer worker in the way that best suits you – in-person, via phone, SMS or email
  • Support provided at no cost to you

“I support participants to continue reaching their goals after they’ve left a PARC site. I connect with them for up to four weeks, connecting them with supports in the community – this can be through community housing, education, or even setting new goals like establishing a social recreation. The benefit is like having a little extended stay but at your home. It’s about getting yourself back into routine, connecting with what’s around you in your local areas and the feeling that there’ s somebody there to support you.”
