What is Mental Health in Aged Care?

Mental Health in Aged Care assist people experiencing low levels of anxiety or depression, often identified simply as stress as they move into residential aged care facilities.

Created by people who have experienced the move, the program supports a person’s mental health, physical health and social needs through one-on-one and group support. Family and friends' support is also available.

We work with people to:

  • Increase confidence
  • Stay in touch with family/friends
  • Make new friendships
  • Try new things

How to access this service

People who live in Gippsland and have recently moved into a residential aged care facility or are about to can access this support.
