Wellways is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Peggy Brown AO to its Board. Dr. Brown brings over 15 years of leadership experience in mental health and healthcare reform, including her service as CEO of the National Mental Health Commission. Her expertise in the mental health sector, particularly in clinical governance, medical administration, and strategic planning, combined with her passion for reform and equitable access to quality services, will be invaluable to Wellways as we continue to grow and evolve.
We also thank the Hon. Reba Meagher for her years of dedicated service to the Wellways Board. Ms. Meagher’s strategic leadership has been invaluable to the organisation’s growth.

Lived and Living Experience Authority update
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Debbie Hamilton for her exceptional contributions as one of the two the inaugural Co-Chairs of the Lived and Living Experience Authority (LLEA). Ms. Hamilton’s unique blend of lived and academic experience was pivotal in establishing the LLEA, and her work will have a lasting impact on Wellways.
As Ms. Hamilton transitions from her role, we are pleased to announce that applications for the Co-Chair position will soon be open. This is a remarkable opportunity for individuals passionate about shaping Wellways’ future and improving mental health outcomes to contribute in a leadership capacity.
