What is Un-Boxed Men’s Support?

Unboxed Men’s Support is a community-based program for men and those who identify as men who are having a difficult time emotionally and would like some support with their mental health.

Un-Boxed is a blend of one-on-one and group supports that aim to offer flexible and individualised services provided by male and male identifying peer workers at a time and place that suits you, for as long as you need it.

How does Un-Boxed Men’s Support help?

The program can assist you to cope with the challenges you are facing right now by:

  • Making it easy to reach us. No long forms, or phone chats. Just help when you need it.
  • Meeting you where you are and learning what support you need.
  • Understanding you and your life, including any cultural needs you have so you feel safe and understood.
  • Listening to you and your story. We are all human and our stories are valid and important.
  • Breaking down the idea that men need to be tough or should be able to handle it.
  • Offering flexible one-on-one and group programs that promote mateship and getting well together.
  • Help you learn how to take care of yourself, and how to overcome challenges.
  • Building up your ability to cope with life’s challenges and recognising warning signs.

How to access this service

Un-Boxed Men’s Program is for men and those identifying as male who are:

  • Over the age of 16
  • Experiencing tough times
  • Living in the Murrumbidgee Region
