The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) Scheme is a Victorian Government-funded scheme for people who have experienced traumatic injury as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Victoria. It provides in-home care services so people can live in their own homes as independently as possible.
Our clients are most often living with acquired brain injuries or spinal cord injuries and the TAC Scheme supports their ongoing physical and psychological needs.
Wellways staff work with your treating team in order to provide the best possible support for your individual requirements. We coordinate workers trained to meet your specific needs and goals, to care for you in your own home, up to 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week. We encourage you and your family to be involved with the selection of staff who will be providing your care.
Wellways accepts referrals of suitable clients from hospitals, brain injury units, case managers and from TAC offices within Victoria. If you are a TAC participant in Victoria, but move or take a holiday in Queensland, New South Wales or Tasmania, we can continue to provide you with these services.
