What is MHIAC?
MHIAC is a program available to older people transitioning into or residing in residential aged care facilities throughout Gippsland. The program gives participants an opportunity to receive whole-person care that includes mental health, physical health and social needs.
How MHIAC can help
The program works alongside existing services and provides care that identifies and addresses your mental health, physical health and social needs. Support is provided through individual engagement, group support and family and friends support.
The program aims to assist people experiencing low levels of anxiety or depression, often identified simply as stress.
The program can assist you to:
- Manage stress
- Build on your strengths
- Increase your confidence
- Stay in touch with family/friends
- Make new friendships
- Try new things
- Manage your life

Respite to carers and family members
If you are caring for someone living with a mental health condition we can provide you with a break away from your role.
Evergreen Terrace provides peace and privacy for carers to have some rest, relaxation and ‘me’ time to recharge.
Just 20 minutes from Warragul, the property is quiet and beautiful surrounded by trees, birds, and a wonderful view of the Tarago Reservoir.
