Wellways provides specialist mental health rehabilitation and recovery-oriented support to people eligible for Individualised Client Support Packages (ICSP) in the Murray, Barwon and Grampians, and Great South Coast regions of Victoria. ICSP services are part of the Mental Health Community Support Service (MHCSS) program and are available to people aged 16-64 experiencing mental health issues.
ICSP services are tailored to your personal needs and can be delivered on an individual basis or within a group environment, focused around your recovery goals.
Our experienced staff includes lived experience workers—support people to help identify what a good life means for you, and what’s standing in the way of you achieving that. This involves understanding your values, strengths, needs and preferences, and supporting you in building your skills and confidence to achieve the things you want in life.
We support you in developing an individual recovery plan, which will outline how we work together towards your goals. We also help you decide who you would like to be part of your support team, including identifying people in your community.
Our rehabilitation and recovery-oriented support will combine interventions that are proven to be effective in assisting people to:
- manage and improve their health and wellbeing
- access services to support their goals, including returning to work or education
- find and keep a home in a community of their choice
- reconnect with family and friends and build enduring networks within their community
Initial referral and eligibility screening for ICSP services is completed by the Australian Community Support Organisation (ACSO), the catchment-based intake assessment provider for the MHCSS program in regional Victoria. Wellways is able to assist you in preparing for and navigating this process.
