This year marks the 20th anniversary of the SEW-EURODRIVE gala fundraising events, which include a Charity Golf Day and a Gala Dinner Dance, all in support of Wellways Australia.
SEW-EURODRIVE has raised a remarkable $1.87 million in the past 19 years, supporting Mental Illness Fellowship Victoria and now Wellways Australia to break down the barriers and stigma associated with mental illness. The upcoming October events are expected to raise $130,000 toward SEW-EURODRIVE’s 20-year fundraising goal of $2 million.
SEW-EURODRIVE’s fundraising efforts, together with major sponsor ANZ, have enabled Wellways to develop programs to assist individuals, as well as their families and carers, to bring about positive change and build good lives in their communities.
The upcoming fundraising events kick off with the much-anticipated Charity Golf Day, which will be held on Monday 2 October at Kooringal Golf Club in Altona, Victoria. The day includes a round of Ambrose golf, a gourmet BBQ and prizes throughout the course. Ambrose is the most social and quickest of all golf games, taking around 4.5 hours for an 18-hole round.
For those who prefer their exercise on the dance floor, SEW-EURODRIVE will hold the second fundraising event, a Roaring 20s Gala Dinner Dance, on Friday 27 October at the Melrose Reception Centre, Tullamarine. The evening includes a three-course dinner, entertainment and auction to raise further funds for Wellways.
