Media Release

At Wellways, we exist to create and support inclusive communities in a more meaningful way. As coronavirus (COVID-19) impacts how people gather around the world, this isn’t business as usual. We remain committed to doing all we can to help during this time of uncertainty.

While physical distancing (formally known as social distancing) is vital to slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep our communities safe, we know it will leave a void in our day-to-day lives. That is why we are searching for alternative ways to stay connected as the impact of COVID-19 unfolds.

We are aware that current advice around travel and gathering may change at any time.

Wellways continues to rely on trusted government sources for up-to-date information and recommendations to keep people, including the most vulnerable among us safe. We encourage our participants to also stay informed, this can include your State/Territory health department.

Wellways remains committed to keeping our offices open to the public and we will continue to provide a level of public face-to-face interaction that is safe and consistent with best practice guidelines to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19.

If in extraordinary circumstances onsite face-to-face contact with the general public needs to cease at a Wellways office, our offices will display messages on how to contact local staff and refer people to our dedicated COVID-19 information page on our website.

The Government has confirmed a ban on gatherings of 100 people or more. To support the most vulnerable amongst our communities, Wellways has determined that it will take a further step to no longer hold any public face-to-face events. We sincerely apologise for the impact we know this will have on you as participants, but we are treating your safety and the safety of our staff as paramount.

Over the coming weeks, we will share alternative ways you can stay connected as the impact of COVID-19 continues to play out. Wellways is committed to be here to help.
