WellWays My Recovery is a peer-facilitated education program for people with a lived experience of mental illness who are interested in exploring new ways to manage their health and pursue their hopes and dreams. The program provides up to date information about mental illness, assists participants to develop strategies to manage symptoms and focus on the identification of personal strengths and community resources. My Recovery aims to inspire hope and self-confidence, and motivate the pursuit of active and fulfilling lives. It is intended that participants of My Recovery will establish ongoing supportive peer relationships, regain confidence to connect with cultural and community allies, and pursue plans that will ultimately result in attaining meaningful social roles.
