Question. Persuade. Refer (QPR)

QPR is intended to offer HOPE through positive action.

QPR is intended to HELP recognise warning signs, clues and suicidal communication of people in trouble.

QPR is intended to TEACH us how to ACT to prevent a possible tragedy.

Three simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.

Just as people trained in CPR help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognise the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Australians, like you, are saying “Yes” to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling or neighbour.

As a QPR-trained Gatekeeper you will learn to:

  • Recognise the warning signs of suicide
  • Know how to offer hope
  • Know how to get help and save a life
