Wellways and Neighbourhood Houses in Southern Tasmania are teaming up to offer a range of activities to promote mental health and wellbeing during Mental Health Week.
This practical and interactive workshop introduces mindfulness and how it can be used as part of a self-care routine to reduce stress and promote wellbeing. The session includes ideas for incorporating mindful moments into everyday life as well as free mindfulness resources that can be used at home.
The mindfulness session will be followed by lunch.
After lunch, at 1pm, Nick McGowan will present a workshop that introduces information about how stress can affect people physically and emotionally. The session also provides practical techniques for managing stress.
